# Domain Settings

> Manage a domain connection, edge configuration, transfers, and removal actions.

Use **Settings** to manage the domain record and the actions that affect its relationship with Pxxl.

## Settings areas

| Area | What it controls |
| - | - |
| **Connected project** | Which Pxxl project receives the domain traffic. |
| **Details** | Domain identity, registration state, and connection information. |
| **Proxy** | HTTPS, host redirects, headers, access rules, WAF, limits, retries, and maintenance mode. |
| **Transfer** | Registrar transfer details and EPP actions for domains managed by Pxxl. |
| **Danger zone** | Removal, transfer, or other destructive domain actions. |

## Resync the route

Select **Resync Proxy** after changing the connected project, application port, DNS-related route state, or proxy settings. Resync tells the edge to re-read the saved configuration and publish the active route.

Resync does not rebuild the application. If the project code or runtime configuration changed, create a deployment separately.

## Transfer and removal

* Transfer actions apply to domains registered with Pxxl and require the current registrar state and EPP authorization code when requested.
* Removing an externally connected domain from Pxxl does not delete its registration at the current registrar.
* Review the connected project and DNS state before a destructive action.

For visitor-level protection in front of the route, see [Password Protection](/projects/password-protection).
