The dashboard is the quickest way to create a job. Use automation when cron jobs are part of your infrastructure setup or need to be recreated across workspaces.

CLI

The CLI supports cron job operations such as listing jobs, creating a job, reading a job, triggering a run, starting, stopping, and deleting a job. See the Cron CLI reference for the current commands and flags. Keep the API key in your shell’s secret manager or CI environment. Do not place it in a repository or a client-side application.

SDKs

Use a server-side SDK when your application already manages Pxxl resources in code: The SDKs call the Pxxl HTTP API. They do not turn the cron endpoint into a private network service. The endpoint still needs to be public and authenticated as described in Connection.

Automation checklist

  • Give each job a stable name.
  • Keep the schedule in source control.
  • Store the Pxxl API key outside the repository.
  • Create or update jobs idempotently.
  • Confirm the first run in Monitoring.
