Use Settings on an MCP connection to control its access lifecycle.

Rotate a key

1

Prepare the client

Open the client configuration or secret manager so you can replace the key without leaving the connection offline longer than necessary.
2

Generate a new key

Select Generate new key. The old key stops working immediately.
3

Save and reconnect

Store the replacement, update the client, and run a test request.

Troubleshooting

Keep MCP keys in secret storage, give each integration its own connection, and rotate a key as soon as it may have been exposed.
